On Wednesday, October 19th there was a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the beautiful building facade renovations at 1927-49 New York Ave and 2-8 West 18th Street. The ceremony was sponsored by the Huntington Station Business Improvement District (HSBID) with a grant from Source the Station, and a matching grant from Michael Lifland of Zimland LLC, the owner of the retail center.

Assemblyman Chad Luppinacci, Michael Lifland, MLDS Architects Robert Stephenson and Mario DiCocco,  General Contractor David Yagy of Property Development Group, and BID President Frank Consentino were there to cut the ribbon with some of the store owners and HS BID members. Participants were invited to visit each store to learn about the products and services that they offer.

Refreshments prepared by Deli Saint George  were offered in each location. October 19th is also the date the Society of American Florists promote its “Petal It Forward” campaign. Flowerdale by Patty marked the occasion by giving a pair of red roses to each one that visited her store. One was to keep and the other to “Petal It Forward”.
